Each year, the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce celebrates and honors a group of notable women who are making a difference in the region.

Six influential and extraordinary women will be honored at the 15th Annual Galveston Women’s Conference on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston, Texas.

Doyle, a true pioneer in philanthropy, has dedicated decades of community service and financial contributions to the Salvation Army and to the people and organizations of Texas City and beyond. She is also a champion of education and deeply involved with the College of the Mainland and Texas City ISD’s Educational Foundation.

The other women to be recognized at the conference include:

• Michelle Beckwith, Landry’s, Inc.
• Janice Hallisey, First lady of League City
• Deborah Jones, PhD, RN, UTMB Health
• Kelly de Schaun, Galveston Island Park Board of Trustees
• Cynthia Smith, Family Service Center

“We are proud of our 15-year history in celebrating the accomplishments of women,” said Gina M. Spagnola, president and chief executive officer of the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce. “These six outstanding women leaders serve as role models and are trailblazers in their respective fields making a unique and significant impact on our community. The positive influence they make every day is commendable and we are proud to honor them as women of the year.”
