Coastal Legislative Tour Tour Galveston
The Coastal Legislative Tour, a four-day informational tour, arranged for our State Legislators to learn the highlight of our unique region and the industries and organizations that are benefiting our coastal community, creating jobs, and representing the best of Texas exceptionalism.
The tour showcases the Galveston region, including the Port of Galveston, the offshore industry, the petrochemical industry, tourism, UTMB Health, Galveston National Lab, Texas A&M University at Galveston, Galveston College, and the significant contributions of the area to the state and country. In addition, this presents an excellent opportunity to learn about the needs of the Texas coast, with the development of a coastal barrier system being at the top of the list.
