Galveston Coastal Legislative Tour

The Coastal Legislative Tour, a four-day informational tour, arranged for our State Legislators to learn the highlight of our unique region and the industries and organizations that are benefiting our coastal community, creating jobs, and representing the best of Texas exceptionalism.
Throughout the tour, legislators and their guests will participate in guided, behind-the-scenes tours and high-level briefings highlighting the industries and institutions that power our region, including the Port of Galveston, Port of Texas City, offshore and petrochemical operations, tourism, healthcare, University of Texas Medical Branch, the Galveston National Laboratory, Texas A&M University at Galveston and Galveston College.
In addition to these immersive experiences, the tour will feature focused discussions on Galveston County’s top priorities, including:
- Coastal resiliency and disaster preparedness
- Infrastructure and transportation investments
- Workforce development and maritime career pathways
- Insurance challenges impacting coastal communities
- Economic development and business growth
- Tourism sustainability and regional promotion
