How much does it cost to be a member of the Galveston Regional Chamber?
We operate with a tiered-membership system with five different investment levels. The structure allows your business to decide which investment opportunity is right for you. For an annual investment of $375, you can become a member of our chamber. For major economic drivers in the community, the admiral level allows you to customize your membership benefits. How can the chamber help me grow my business?
We are committed to promoting and advocating for business since 1845. And after all this time, we are still finding new ways for our members to market their business to potential customers and clients. The chamber promotes our members via our website, social media, email marketing, and printed publications such as the Membership Directory, Galveston Island Relocation & Visitors Guide.
We also offer programs that allow our members to distribute their marketing materials to businesses and the community. Our “Welcome Bag” program grants chamber members an opportunity to get their information in front of businesses at ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Members are also welcome to display their business cards, brochures, and more in our Visitors Center – the official Visitor’s Center on Galveston Island – which services thousands of people every year. Furthermore, we organize multiple events throughout the year to help our members make new connections. What kind of events does your chamber organize?
We organize a variety of different events each year including our annual meeting, monthly after-5 business mixers, monthly Good Morning Galveston meetings, golf tournament, women’s conference, Lemonade Day Galveston County, educational seminars, industry tours, business roundtable events, hot-topic luncheons, ribbon cutting ceremonies, and more. Is the Galveston Regional Chamber affiliated with the City of Galveston?
We maintain a positive working relationship with the city of Galveston as well as the Galveston Island Convention and Visitors Bureau. However, we operate solely on the annual investments made by our members along with money we raise through special events. We do not receive funding from any public entity, which allows us the freedom of advocating for the Galveston business community without influence from agencies whose primary concern may not be protecting the business community.

Membership is the lifeblood of our organization. We operate solely on the investments of our members along with money raised through special events. This arrangement permits our chamber to only be concerned with serving our members rather than pleasing outside agencies to ensure future funding.
Are there committees that I can get involved with?
Absolutely! The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce maintains several standing and ad hoc committees to harness the energy and input of motivated volunteers. Our advocacy committee is by far the most popular with a waiting list of people eager to serve.
