The Business Advocacy Committee, a standing committee of the Galveston Regional Chamber, is charged with the primary responsibility to promote a positive and pro-active business environment in the Galveston area. In 2012 the committee adopted a new “Pro Business Advocacy Policy” to establish a set of guidelines by which the Galveston Chamber shall identify issues of importance to the business community as well as develop and advance pro-business advocacy positions.
