The Doolin Cup is quickly becoming one of the premier adaptive regattas in the nation. It is one of the qualifiers for the U.S. Sailing Para National Championships, and the Doolin Cup will be the U.S. Sailing Para Championship for 2020. The regatta brings teams from around the nation to compete in our SSBG's Sonar class sailboats. At least one member of each crew must have some physical impairment. This year the Doolin Cup will be held on September 26th – 29th. The race is sanctioned by U.S. Sailing, the governing body for the sport of sailing in the United States, and will be sailed under the Racing Rules of Sailing. There will be one day of practice and coaching, followed by three days of racing. SSBG will need many volunteers for this regatta, including helping our sailors with breakfast and lunch, moving adaptive equipment on the boats, race committee, and much more. Below is a link for the volunteer sign up. Please check this link and see if any jobs fall within the time frame you can attend. We will need approximately 500 hours of volunteer time. Please help SSBG make this the most exceptional adaptive sailing event in the nation. For more information, contact David Gaston at
