Premiering for the first time in Galveston “For the Good of the Family” a drama in two acts will be performed for the benefit of CASA of Galveston County (Court Appointed Special Advocates). The play, written by George Douglas Lee, begins with a joyful family reunion. Suddenly the reunion becomes a fraught affair as family members rehash living with a profoundly disabled sister. The discord leads to an astonishing revelation. With a cast of local talent, director Ruth Ann Ruiz, focuses on a family trying to embrace their future, but the tentacles of the past won’t let them go. They won't forget and neither will you!
