Must be a self starter, ability to handle breaking news scenes within i45NOW’s unbending fact-based, ethical and straightforward news gathering policies. 


 The right candidate will have the ability to record, report, edit and produce news content for the i45NOW platforms and content partners. 


 This is a contract position with mostly work done in the field at night 7P – 2A, Wednesday through Saturday. 


 This is a position for those with some experience working in a news/media environment. 



Preferred Qualifications: 


  •  Experience with news gathering particularly video or photography work with a preferred minimum of 2 years experience. 

  • Must be familiar with camera operation, audio production, linear and non-linear editing and field lighting

  • Excellent time management and logistics skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be able to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations

  • Ability to make creative decisions during live breaking news events. 

  • Experience in a newsroom environment is desired

  • Ability to record, edit, produce, transfer and post news content 

  • Ability to write in a concise, accurate, and straightforward manner

  • Have the ability to carry up to 25 pounds and physical ability to at times stand at a news scene for up to two hours at a time

  • A former first responder with video/photography and information gathering skills would be considered for the position 

  • A clean criminal and good driving record is a must
