The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that standup comedian, Leighann Lord, will perform at the 15th annual Galveston Women’s Conference on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Moody Gardens Convention Center.
Lord has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, The View, and is a former co-host of the Emmy-nominated Star Talk with Neil de Grasse Tyson. She has performed for the troops in the Middle East and is a recipient of the AHA Humanist Arts Award. Leighann can be seen in her recent Dry Bar comedy special, I Mean Business and Showtime’s Even More Funny Women of a Certain Age.
Lord joins a lineup of speakers including co-host of TODAY, Jenna Bush Hager, and experts from UTMB Health.
The Galveston Women’s Conference, a day-long educational event, celebrates, inspires and motivates women to strive for the best in both their personal and professional lives.
