GALVESTON, TX (June 22, 2021) – The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to unveil its new website designed to foster the development of the business community and boost the visibility of its members in community and consumer searches.
The new website softly launched on Thursday, June 17, 2021, and officially rolled out at the June 22nd quarterly board of directors meeting. With a user-friendly layout, the site is easy to navigate and serves as a centralized hub and gateway to keep people informed on what’s going on in the area.
The new website was a collaboration of the Chamber’s marketing department, and Compulse/Sinclair Digital, the nation’s largest digital marketing company and a sister company of the chamber’s captain-level investor, KFDM/FOX based in Beaumont, Texas.
Work on the website began nearly two years ago but the project was delayed due to multiple challenges and disruptions caused by covid-19.
“We finally got it done and I’m freaking out because it’s so awesome,” said Lindsay Touchy, vice president and head of the marketing department at the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce. “The old site was at risk to crash at any time and almost impossible to edit, so I’m very delighted to retire it. As with any new technology, we may experience a few hiccups along the way, but the new website depicts the chamber’s energy and spirit while sharing everything our vibrant region offers.”
As the go-to resource for local business, the chamber serves as the official visitor’s center and fields more than 6,000 calls a year providing business referrals and answering questions about community events and nearly everything one can imagine.

The website features the following major sections that bolster the Galveston business community:
• Find a business – Use the business directory, a real and robust online system, to find a local business.
• About the chamber – Learn about the chamber’s mission statement, board of directors, chamber team, committees and how to join.
• Membership – Search for current chamber and community-wide events, job postings, and educational programs.
• Explore Galveston – Discover why Galveston is the best place to live, work, play and stay.
• Public policy – Learn about the chamber’s current and ongoing efforts to support and promote a pro-business environment.
The new website plays an instrumental role in attracting more visitors to Galveston Island, educating people on the opportunities available within the region, and increasing chamber membership. The site contains several photos courtesy of the Galveston Island Convention & Visitors Center to encourage people to come to Galveston Island and go to the beaches, restaurants, retail shops, and experience everything the island offers.
