“Good Morning Galveston” to bring awareness for local nonprofits during the holiday season   

GALVESTON, TX – November 16, 2021 – The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a “Giving Back” holiday-themed Good Morning Galveston networking breakfast on Dec. 2, 2021 from 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. at Texas Tail Distillery located at 2416 Postoffice St. in Galveston.

The event will bring awareness to local nonprofits and provide support to those in need this holiday season. It will also feature holiday songs played by the Odyssey Academy Guitar Choir.

“We’re always giving back and supporting our local nonprofits year-round, but this is a special time of the year,” said Gina M. Spagnola, president and chief executive officer of the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We want to give our nonprofit members the opportunity to share what they are doing for the holidays and ask for the help they need from the community.”

The participating nonprofit organizations include:
• Church of the Living God
• Galveston Food Bank
• Galveston Island Humane Society
• Galveston Police Department – Blue Santa Program
• MD Anderson Cancer Center
• Salvation Army
• Seafarer’s Center
• St. Vincent’s Episcopal House
• The Cancer Connection
• Upward Hope Academy.

The business community is invited to join and bring donations including:
• Gift certificates from any store in Galveston in small denominations
• A child’s toy (infant to 15)
• A sturdy pet toy (cat or dog)
• Warm clothes for families
• Blankets
• Toiletries and personal care items.

Good Morning Galveston is a monthly networking event that takes place on the first Thursday of every month from 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. at Texas Tail Distillery located at 2416 Postoffice St. in Galveston.
