With recent restaurant closures, i45NOW, the Galveston Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association, and the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to rally the community and support local dining.
Now through November 8, i45NOW will produce free 15-30 second promotional videos featuring locally-owned restaurants. These videos will highlight each restaurant and promote limited-time discounts for diners who mention the campaign. The videos will be shared on i45NOW’s platforms, the Chamber’s social media, and will be provided to the restaurants for their own channels.
Community members are encouraged to share their dining experiences using #DineIslandTime and #GalvestonSmallBizSeason. Posts shared on i45NOW with the most engagement will be eligible for prizes throughout the campaign, running until November 27. Monitor i45NOW for updates on participating restaurants and prize details.
“This campaign aligns perfectly with Small Business Season,” said Gina Spagnola, President and CEO of the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce. “It’s been a challenging year for many small businesses. Now, more than ever, we need to support local restaurants, shop small, and keep our business community strong.”

The Galveston Chapter of TRA is actively coordinating participation among its members. “It’s been a quieter season, and Hurricane Beryl impacted revenues even more,” said James Clark, President of Galveston Chapter of TRA. “But Galveston has always been a resilient community. This initiative will bring much-needed attention to our local restaurants.”
