Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress, artist, and philanthropist Jane Seymour will headline the 19th Annual Galveston Women’s Conference.

A recipient of the Officer of the British Empire (OBE), bestowed upon her by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, Seymour has built an acclaimed career across virtually every medium—from the Broadway stage and London theatre to motion pictures and television. Born in Hillingdon, England, and raised in Wimbledon, she is the daughter of a British obstetrician and his Dutch wife. As the iconic star of the beloved television series Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, Seymour became a role model to young women and girls worldwide through her portrayal of a courageous woman guided by compassion and humanity. Behind the camera, Seymour also served as an executive producer on the documentary film Glen Campbell… I’ll Be Me, which told the touching story of musician Glen Campbell’s farewell tour while dealing with the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.

Her credits include enduring films such as Somewhere in Time and Live and Let Die, as well as Broadway and London stage acclaim, including creating the role of Constanza in Amadeus. Seymour has also earned praise for award-winning television performances in War and Remembrance and East of Eden.

In early 2008, Seymour launched a special jewelry collection called “Open Hearts by Jane Seymour.” Inspired by one of Seymour’s original paintings of two hearts connected and open at either end, the exclusive designs symbolize that love has no boundaries and flows unconditionally.

“Jane Seymour represents so much of what this conference stands for—grace under pressure, personal reinvention, and the courage to keep evolving,” said Gina M. Spagnola, President and CEO of the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce. “She has navigated decades of change with authenticity and heart. Our attendees—many of whom are redefining this season of their own lives—will find her story deeply relatable and incredibly inspiring.”

“For many women, Jane Seymour isn’t just a celebrity—she’s a touchstone,” said Rebecca Lilley, 2026 Women’s Conference Chair. “Depending on the chapter of life you were in, she made you feel seen, hopeful, or brave enough to dream bigger. Having her on our stage feels both nostalgic and perfectly timely.”

The Galveston Women’s Conference is a premier, one-day experience dedicated to empowering women through mind, body, and spirit. The conference features a dynamic lineup of nationally recognized speakers, thought-provoking breakout sessions, curated wellness moments, and meaningful networking opportunities. Women from all walks of life—entrepreneurs, executives, caregivers, community leaders, and professionals—are invited to step away from the everyday and invest in themselves during this transformative day on Galveston Island.
