GALVESTON, TX ¬¬(April 19, 2022) – It’s time to get ready for Lemonade Day! Lemonade Day Galveston County is hosting Build a Stand…Spark a Dream event on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 9am-12pm, at Chalmers Hardware located at 2002 Broadway in Galveston.

Lemonade stand kits will be available to purchase for $25 for all registered young entrepreneurs. Volunteers will be on site to assist youth assemble their stand. Participants should plan to move their stands off-site after constructed. This workshop will teach kids how to design and build a stand safely, make advertising signs, and learn teamwork and responsibility.

Registered youth are also invited to participate in the Best Tasting Contest right after the build-a-stand event. All interested participants should arrive by 9am to register and bring one gallon of lemonade in an unmarked, disposable container. The contest will be judged by local community leaders.

Winners with the best tasting lemonade will receive a trophy and certificate to celebrate their product and the creativity that went into developing it.

Lemonade Day Galveston County is Saturday, May 7, 2022. The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce encourages the community to support young entrepreneur by wearing yellow and purchasing a cup…or two of tasty, refreshing lemonade day from our young entrepreneurs that day.
