Lemonade Day is more than enjoying a refreshing glass of lemonade—it’s a proven program that empowers young entrepreneurs. Participants have reported a 90 percent increase in self‑esteem and a 92 percent improvement in communication skills. These outcomes are just a few of the many reasons the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce and the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly support Lemonade Day Galveston County.
The first event of the 2026 lemonade season is the Step Up for Education Expo & Lemonade Day Galveston County Kickoff on Thursday, February 19, at Weis Middle School, 7100 Stewart Road, from 5 to 8 p.m. This fun-filled evening will include student performances, giveaways, music, delicious lemonade, and complimentary hot dogs provided by The Spot. Young entrepreneurs may register online in advance or sign up at the event to begin their Lemonade Day journey.
The excitement continues on Saturday, February 21, when the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts an additional Lemonade Day Galveston County Kickoff Event at the Perry Family YMCA, 1700 League City Parkway, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families are invited to stop by for food, fun, and the opportunity to pick up Lemonade Day materials and goodies.
At both registration events, young entrepreneurs will receive their official Lemonade Day backpacks and T‑shirts and gain access to the tools and curriculum needed to plan, launch, and operate their very own lemonade stand.
“Lemonade Day is not just about lemonade; it’s about financial literacy, business skills, teamwork, social and emotional skills, goal setting and responsibility. This event is all about big dreams and bigger possibilities,” said Gina Spagnola, Director of Lemonade Day Galveston County. “We’re excited to make it even easier for our young entrepreneurs across Galveston County to register.”
Lemonade Day is open to participants ages 5 to 18. The curriculum is designed to teach essential business and leadership skills, including goal‑setting, financial planning, budgeting, customer service, and entrepreneurship.
Lemonade Day Galveston County takes place on Saturday, May 2.
