GALVESTON, TEXAS (UPDATE) – Imagine a year-long journey where you develop the skills to become a more effective leader, forge valuable connections, and even ignite a new business idea. That’s the transformative experience offered by the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Sail to Success leadership program. The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce is now accepting new applicants for its second Sail to Success one-year leadership program. The new class begins October 10, 2024. 

Last year, 25 ambitious professionals embarked on this unique leadership development program. The results were impressive, fostering not only personal and professional growth but also leading to the creation of a new business venture within the Galveston community.

Sail to Success is a one-of-a-kind program that has had a profound impact on the lives of those who participate,” said the program’s founder and Chamber President and CEO, Gina Spagnola. “Developing the skills for effective leadership will only make this community stronger.”

The year-long program curriculum is comprehensive and covers various topics, including communication, strategic thinking, team building, emotional intelligence, and more. Participants will also be able to network with other emerging and established leaders in Galveston, building relationships that will serve them well throughout their careers.

“We’ve designed Sail to Success to be a holistic program that addresses all aspects of leadership development,” said Spagnola. “Participants will leave the program with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to excel in their careers and personal lives.”

Sail to Success is open to individuals from all industries and backgrounds. A limited number of scholarships are available through the generosity of The Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation. Applications are currently being accepted for the second class, which kicks off on July 31.
