WHAT IS LEMONADE DAY?
Since its founding in 2007, Lemonade Day has empowered 1.5 million+ youth across 97 communities in the U.S. and Canada. Participating kids collectively donated $3.3 million in 2024 alone, demonstrating the program’s emphasis on giving back.
Post‑program surveys indicate:
• 83% gained stronger problem‑solving skills
• 86% improved in financial goal‑setting, self‑esteem, communication, and understanding philanthropy
• 87% report applying math to real‑world contexts
Entrepreneurially:
• 67% plan to start a business someday—versus only ~40% of general youth
• 28% are already running a business post‑program (3× more than peers)
• 69% say they can “find lots of ways around a problem” thanks to Lemonade Day

OUR STORY
Since 2010, the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce has proudly led Lemonade Day Galveston County through the Galveston Chamber Partnership, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. What began as a simple idea has grown into a county-wide movement—engaging more than 1,100 young participants each year and empowering over 12,000 aspiring entrepreneurs to dream big, take initiative, and build something of their own. Through this hands-on program, students in grades K–8 learn how to create a business plan, set goals, budget, serve customers, and give back to their community.
More than just lemonade stands, they’re building confidence, character, and a powerful sense of ownership in their future. Backed by schools, families, local leaders, and business mentors, Lemonade Day Galveston County continues to spark a culture of entrepreneurship that is reshaping how our youth see the world—and their place in it.

HOST A STAND
Would you be willing to host a young entrepreneur at your business? You can sign up to host a young entrepreneur on Lemonade Day on Saturday, May 2, 2026. We’ll create a list of businesses that are willing to host a lemonade stand which will be included in their Lemonade Day backpack. As part of their planning process, young entrepreneurs must reach out to business owners or property owners and get permission to set up their stand on the property. You may hear from multiple children and we ask that you take their call and encourage them to contact another business.
