Lemonade Day Galveston County, a free educational initiative, introduces youth to entrepreneurship and skills to prepare them for both business and life. By learning these skills early in life, children will be better prepared to be successful, financially healthy adults. Through the fun, hands-on Lemonade Day program, kids of kindergarten through fifth grade age are empowered to start their own business – a lemonade stand – and experience earning money, using 100 percent of their profits to spend, save and share based on their own goals.
Lemonade Day Galveston County would not be possible without the overwhelming contributions from our investors and the commitment of our community champions. The program continues to grow as we register and engage more and more young entrepreneurs.
“Lemonade Day Galveston County is the perfect collaboration of business and education,” said Gina M. Spagnola, President and CEO of the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lemonade Day Galveston County Director. “The program unites our region and families together, inspires youth to have a dream, and symbolizes the future of Galveston County businesses.”
